Brazilian Music Workshop

Considerable effort has been made to make this exciting experience as affordable as possible.

The BRAZILIAN MUSIC WORKSHOP fee is US$3,300 per person hosted in a double room.

The fee does not include any airfare.

Discounts are offered as shown below with $500 initial deposit to hold your place.

The $500 will apply toward the over all deposit.

  • $400 for the first 10 registered ($2,900)
  • $300 if registered by November 1 ($3,000)
  • $200 if registered by December 1 ($3,100)
  • After January 1 ($3,300)

 

ENROLLMENT

Limited to a maximum of 35 individuals.

You do not have to be a practicing musician to attend and have a very enjoyable experience.

The workshop is designed to be a musical and cultural immersion, with numerous opportunities to experience all things Brazil – the people, music, culture, food, environment and much more.

It would be wise to reserve your spot as soon as possible.

PAYMENT

• Initial $500 deposit to hold your spot with discount. This initial deposit will apply to the overall deposit.
• January 5, 2026 – 50% deposit due
• April 5, 2026 – balance due

In order to make the fee as low as possible, only payments by check, money order or Zelle will be accepted. No credit or debit cards. You will be contracted regarding payments upon registration.

THE FEE INCLUDES

  • All music classes, presentations, demonstrations, combos, jam sessions and workshop concerts (some bar/restaurant concert music couvert not included – typically US$5).
  • Equipment – piano, bass and guitar amps, PA, double bass, drumset and all percussion instruments.

You will need to bring your personal instruments – guitar, sax, violin, trumpet, trombone, etc.

  • Lunches marked with * in the workshop schedule (you will always be responsible for your drinks).
  • Individuals not wishing to attend the afternoon combos will be offered other activities like visiting museums and malls, dance or other cultural classes, and also a special class on speaking Portuguese.
  • Hotel – Hotel Grand Bittar – 9 nights – Exceptional breakfasts are included for each day.

There will be a US$500 charge for those wishing a single room.

  • Ground transportation to all workshop concerts, classes and tours.
  • Dinner at Churrascaria (the Brazilian barbecue).
  • Special percussion class at Ermida Dom Bosco.
  • Waterfall trip (transportation and lunch included).


WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED

  • Your flight to Brazil (please see FLIGHTS and ARRIVAL at Planning your trip page for helpful information).
  • Visa application, if needed (please see VISA REQUIREMENT at Planning Your Trip pager for helpful information).
  • Your transfer from the airport to the Brasília Palace Hotel (please see FLIGHTS and ARRIVAL).
  • Some meals – Lunch (typically $10 to $20) and dinners (typically $30), unless noted above.
  • Private lessons with master teachers are available for $100 per hour, paid directly to the teacher.
  • Your flight to Natal and extra tuition fee, in case you are going to the additional workshop.
