If you want more from Brazil, come with us to Natal.

Trip to Natal

May 31 - June 4

THE CITY

Natal is a coastal city surrounded by astonishing beaches. It is the capital of Rio Grande do Norte and located in the northeastern part of the country - a different climate, a different cuisine, an unforgettable experience. When getting there, we will experience more musical activities and visit several places, especially the world famous dunes!

Overview

Our visit to Natal is a continuation of what we had in Brasília and we prepared different things. We added more special music activities, combo sessions with talented faculty members, and, as expected, concerts, jams, touristic activities and more.

Activities

Special Music Activities

We will have two special music activities that are suited for everybody. These activities involve percussion classes where you will experience new Brazilian styles.

Combos

We understand that the more you play, the more you learn. We will have combos with a different repertoire (written music and recordings provided) where you can broaden your knowledge in Brazilian Music.

Concerts and Jams

You will have the opportunity to play with faculty members and local musicians and enjoy music in our jams sessions.

THE DUNES OF NATAL

One highlight will be our trip to the dunes. It will be a joyful day where we will visit several beaches, run through the dunes*, visit lakes and have a special lunch.

*Don’t worry about the vehicle speed in the dunes. Although all drivers are experienced and have special training, you decide if you want it “com emoção” (with adventure), or “sem emoção,” a mild trip.

Details About the Trip to Natal

Natal is the capital of Rio Grande do Norte, a small state at Brazil’s northeastern “corner.” The city is widely known for its natural resources, astonishing beaches, dunes and lakes. It was established on December 25th, 1599, and it was named after the Christmas (Natal means Christmas).

During the extension part of the workshop, you will be able to experience a different city, climate, food and music. We prepared a different repertoire where you can apply what you learned during your stay in Brasília.

Besides the combos and jam sessions, you will have special music classes.

We will also enjoy the city when going on the optional boat trip and dunes trip. Check the schedule below for more information.

We try to keep the cost as low as possible. For now, the extra tuition is US$1,200 (+US$225 for hotel single room). If we have more attendees, average cost might drop and we will refund you some amount.
